Hi! I'm a new transplant to the Bay Area that's seeking to explore all the fun stuff SF has to offer in the way of the arts and culture -- fashion, food, live music, and just generally, good times with good peeps.
Why do want to join SanFranciscoFashionIndustry.org?
To tap into the cutting edge of the Bay Area fashion and arts scene, at the intersection of two of my interests -- fashion and high tech!
What is your occupation in fashion?
Currently, a net consumer and admirer of fashion. In the future, an aspiring eco-fashion/beauty entrepreneur with a focus on making environmentally and socially responsible apparel and goods available for all.
How can you contribute to our organization?
Ideas, networking, connections.
What do you specialize in? What is your background?
Strategy consultant and marketer, with experience in the beauty, fashion, consumer goods and healthcare arenas.
What are the current challenges with your business or trade?
Currently, the sustainability and fashion arenas seem to be diametrically opposed in philosophy and execution, but I think sustainability can and will become fashionable if done right, and fashion can be sustainable, if done right. I'm seeking to bridge that divide between the two.

Thanks for joining. I'm a friend of the Harris County Green Party. Check out our website. I probably won't be at a meeting but I hope you'll come anyway. (I'm taking care of my wife and stepchild. My wife says I'll be much happier doing cleaning and childcare than going to a bunch of Green Party meetings).
